This is so cool mimi - I'm betting you are going to be so happy with this new steed. Especially after your last adventure. I understand being nervous and quiet. I do the same thing. Congratulations!

I vaguely remember there being a site where you could play with paint colors - anyone remember it?

The Gestation period of my custom Mondonico was about 6 months from conception to delivery from Italy including paint. She was worth the wait. Speaking of which, has anyone seen or heard anything about Lenutsich (sp?) baby? Sorry for the drift, I'll hold my line.

I thought it was the Serrotta site.

What a wonderful looking bike and you will have it just in time for prime riding season. I will look forward to seeing your bike when you have possession of it.

You can do some color play on the trek site for design of a project one bike. I played with it a little last night.

Yes, you can play on the Trek site, but you can't change the design, I already
have a good idea about what colors I want, but I am not sure of how I want to design it.

The Serotta site is DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE (the designing part I mean)

When my DH was ordering up his Seven, he had some ideas on paint color, but not design. My brother-in-law was able to do some really creative ideas in MSWord, drawing a basic frame (diamond + fork) with "Insert - Picture - AutoShapes - Basic shapes". He then colored in the blocks and got some neat, stylized color schemes that were very helpful. There's a way to even fade/blend colors, but I forget how he did it.
    It's an option....

Congrats again for getting your custom bike. I'm glad that you don't have to wait too long for it. The design is a beauty and I'm sure the real thing will be even more so.

ENJOY! I have read the threads on your last "adventure into custom buying" and realize it was not so enjoyable. I just KNOW this adventure will be MUCH MORE fun ... instinct.
