Looking forward to your ride report! I'm training for my first century in May, so I'm real nervous too. Wish you lots of tailwinds with no headwinds.

Good luck and I hope you have lots of fun. I'll be looking forward to your ride report. I'm training to do the STP and sometimes I wonder if I'm over my head. Hearing from other less experienced riders about their accomplishments really helps alleviate some of my own anxieties.
Fantastic! You Go Girl! You will do just fine. Don't forget to hydrate well. I am also training for my first Century so I know how nervous one can get.
Don't forget to come back and tell us how it went! Good Luck and have fun.
I just keep telling myself..."I am the Tortise; slow and steady finishes the race." I am the Tortise, coo coo ca choo.![]()
I rode the 66miles! To tell the truth it kicked my b---! By 48 miles I was wishing I was done, but there way no way I was quitting. The course overall was pretty easy. Flat to rolling hills, only two hills caused me to really dig in and if I had trained on hills it might have been easier, but it was the wind and rough roads that got me. The last 25 miles was all a slow steady incline back into town and we had 20 mph wind coming across us. I am so proud of myself and my DH, who rode with me, was so proud! YEA!!!!
Congratulations!
:Before you know it you'll be doing centuries! I must say the metric century is one of my favorite distances. You feel like you've gotten out on the bike, done some distance, and have the rest of the day free! When I am cycling, this is the distance I do on a regular basis. It makes training for longer rides much less painful!!!
Meanwhile, enjoy your accomplishment. To ride that distance with those nasty winds is never fun!

Very impressive to do that straight out of winter spinning. The step to the full century, however, is quite something - and has eluded me so far; have fun increasing your range of "play"!
It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.
