r'dog, aren't flags yellow in football? I could be wrong. Shows how much we care.

Game's on, I just planted some penstamen, taking the rust off the mailbox (can't replace it, I'll repaint) fill the bird feeders .... misc puttering.

I turned on the Superbowl for 30 seconds, and saw an ad for Cialis. Pardon me if I don't feel like partaking in this orgy.

We usually go out to dinner on Super Bowl Sunday because the restaurants have no wait. But today dh had to leave on a business trip and I had to drive ds back to college. So ate my own mediocre cooking. There was the usual number of cars on the Mass Pike - not everyone is watching the game.

Yo, Queen, Hope the U. wants you (they should!!!). (Otherwise yo'ull have to come on out to my computer lab and work on those math skills...) I'd say those were big ol' red flags with a job waffling like that. At best it sounds like there were all kinds of weird things going on behind the scenes... as in, maybe somebody else doesn't want you on board (perhaps their Uncle Fud is their preference)...

I just wandered thru all 5 channels I get with my rabbit-ear antennas, and didn't find Monsters Inc. I found the Simpsons, though. Anyone else old enough to remember when they were a 7 minute short on the Tracy Ullman Show?

indeed! DH needed a notebook and we popped in at Walmart to pick one up because the grocery stores we had bene to didn't have them....

and we've never seen the parking lot that empty!

Does that say something about a certain demographic?

I switched over to the SB at halftime to watch Prince. Now I'm watching The Green Mile, and flipping over to the Puppy Bowl sporadically.

I loved the puppy bowl. I kept asking our host to change the channel so I could watch the labs playing in the water via the bowl cam. I also liked the boxer beating on the other puppies.

I actually don't watch TV at all anymore. Not at all. It's weird. Dh turns it on to watch hockey and I keep an eye on it but that's it. We rent a movie every two weeks. I watch the cooking channel if I'm home sick but that's maybe once a year. I have no idea what anyone's talking about when they discuss the new shows now. I am enjoying it.

Course I spend a lot more time online now.

My best friend from back East called and told me about the Puppy Bowl. Damn! Wish I'd seen THAT. It sounded like a blast, what with the halftime kitten show and all.

While driving in Conn. this evening, I found a radio station playing songs about homelessness. And a few tributes to Molly Ivens.
