Hmmmm. Any chance we could organize an after ride dinner or something? Or are you all headed home after the ride?

I will be volunteering--they started beating the drums in January. I'll probably be at one of the rest stops (likely Wohler Bridge) this year, or, possibly as a course host--then I could be out there riding.

    BTW, yes.

As far as I know the whole Davis/Sacramento/Placerville crowd is staying Saturday night. We want a leisurely, touristy and lazy Sunday.

The ride sold out at 11:30 last night. Whippetgirl, you may have been the last registrant. I would send an email through the SRCC page about somebody taking over a registration. I believe it's been done, but I'm not sure of the procedure.

I'll be at check-in Friday night and then at the SoCo Bike Coalition table at the finish (probably all day). Stop by and say hello!

Is the entire ride sold out - including the 200k? (I am registered, but just want to make sure I know in case someone asks.)

Yes, completely closed. The email went out this morning that it's the earliest we ever reached our size limit.

    Bump.

OK, who is signed up for what?

Since I haven't been riding much, I'm thinking I'll probably do SK's modified route or the 100 k or something other than the 200k. I seriously doubt I could make the whole 200k, even if I quit running right now and do nothing but ride between now and May 5. Here's the longest ride I've done to date, completed today (I don't know if you have to be registered at MotionBased to see the link or not. Also, I obviously don't have my HR zones programmed correctly...I think I should be dead if I was actually in Zone 4 for that long). Those jokesters at the bike shop told me I had a 27 in the back (this is a new bike, for those of you that don't know) and when I got home I looked closely...it's a *%$@*^$ 25, not a 27. Between that and running (9.4 miles) yesterday, my legs are beat.

I am definitely getting a 27 for the ride. Maybe even something bigger if we can do it with the RD that I have.

I'm looking forward to the road trip and to seeing everyone (and meeting new people)!

I'm signed up for the 200K but depending on how it goes, I might opt for the bailout, which I gather would make it a century. Or, if I'm going so slow that they boot my sorry butt onto the century course at the Alexander Valley/Dutcher Creek turnoff...

Lee's still getting over the lung crud thing he has going so he might do the metric instead.

Bump a bit - roll call:

    What distance are you riding?

What time are you planning on starting?

    What are you wearing?

Are you sticking around for the great BBQ after the ride?

Add any question you believe relevant....

The shortest route possible - I am so going to die....

What time are you planning on starting
Depends on when jobob makes my wakeup call.

    What are you wearing?
I think l'll ride nekkid. More than likely my AV jersey

Are you sticking around for the great BBQ after the ride?
Really depends on when I finish!

I'm at the Holiday Inn Express Friday and Saturday.

BikerZ and I are going to be there.

What distance are you riding? 35 miles. AKA the Bunny Ride. BikerZ's roommate will probably be joining us.

What time are you planning on starting? My goodness, I haven't thought that far ahead. According to the ride's website, we're supposed to get started between 9am and 10am. Of the 3 of us, BikerZ is the only morning person, so I'm guessing that we'll be starting closer to 10am than 9am.

What are you wearing? I have no idea what I'll be wearing -- I rarely know what I'm wearing to work when I get out of the shower on any given morning. If I had to guess, I'd say that BikerZ will be in AV wear. As for me, could be a jersey and tights, knickers, or shorts depending on the weather and how white my legs are.

Are you sticking around for the great BBQ after the ride?
    Affirmative on that!

BikerZ and I are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Windsor on Friday and Saturday.

Thanks to Deanna for the tip -- I'd tried Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn Express in Santa Rosa, but they were booked. Probably by my fellow cyclists. Hadn't thought of Windsor, though, and I didn't know about the freeway work.
