Barb: Run and give your husband a hug from me! Tell him what a sweetie he is and thank him very much for his comments! Also, let him know he would be welcome anytime!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Yes, it is more freindly than several of the other ones I am in. The other ones tend to be a lot of sabre rattling to get a point across . I know my bf comes on sometimes out of true curiousity, (to avoid embarrasing questions I think). Guys if they want to learn should be welcomed, though the subjects could easily turn off guys.

I think we do pretty good here. I"ve been to some women's boards that are horribly catty, but we try to maintain here. There have been those moments here however... many women with PMS posting on the same day.... aack.....but never anything like the sausage fests and 12 year old behavior that's rampant elsewhere.

You know - there could be men pretending to be women on this forum! I suggest a test before they join. "Explain, in detail, what a menstrual cramp feels like."

I am glad that this forum is kept clean. Awhile back we had a participant who was good at flaming people, places and institutions but she is gone and I'm glad. I want to feel safe when I open this website.

we can require in the following questions in the "getting to know you" thread:

pad, tampon, Diva cup while riding, or are you menopausal and if so how long?

Oprah or Ellen or do you Tivo both of them and go out and ride?

You've been passed up for promotion...again... and just found out the 24 year old male co-worker YOU supervise earns more than you, you're riding to work he cuts you off with his SUV and he's car-pooling with the company skank who slept with your ex-boyfriend, you're PMS'ing ... what do you do?

The first thing he did this morning (after some nice smooches) was check TE to see the response to his comments to me. He does have an ego, after all. I think he's going to hold me to the suggestion that I pass on the kisses.

When I made the announcement last June that I wanted to buy a racing bike, he was a bit incredulous...well, ok, he laughed. "you don't want to go faster, you don't want to go farther, you don't want to go up Mt Ventoux...." But by the end of the vacation he was in total support. And I have gone faster, farther, and 3/4 the way up Ventoux. And he's been ecouraging and pushing me past what I thought were my limits. He's a great guy...but he still can't find the mustard in the fridge!

    How cool!

Cool that the Moderator let the complaining post stand and even added the reason it was deleted for all to see. Talk about justice!

he,hee and fwiw Nurple don't argue with the Moderators you'll always come out on the losing end of that battle. Just follow the rules of common decency and you'll get along with every one here just fine.

Life is like a 10 speed bike, we all have gears we never use.
