more important than what bike was she on is which arm she broke. I remember the ER docs first words to me this past August (when broke my shoulder) was: "You aren't left handed?" (no I'm not). This is assuming she's going to be stuck with a sling /immobilizer as well as a cast.
I agree with all the stuff silver mentioned, Does she live by herself? I almost couldn't get dressed a couple of days
    bg heal quickly!
    Peace,

my thoughts are with you too, BikeGoddess

my 13 year old has just recovered from a fractured shoulder and is back on the bike, so my thoughts are exactly where they should be in terms of sending healing vibes for arm bones

I just talked to BG on the phone.

She's spunky as ever but having trouble keeping food down. She can't type but told me to tell everyone how much she appreciates all the support and well wishes. She's also aware of the bikejournal thread.

She broke her femur and will be in a cast for approximately three weeks, then she'll start physical therapy.

She was on the Jamus, not the Scott, so her steel bike held up well to the crash. They cut the remainder of her bike clothes so she was happy to save her favorite bike jacket!
    Cheers!

Lots of healing needed. If you are doing PT, ask for some exercises for your shoulder as well. 3 months after my radial head fracture I got adhesive capsulitis in that shoulder. Flexibility is good. Heal well.
