It's the most wonderful time of the year

Well, one of the most wonderful times. The first girl scout* just popped up on our door step. Ordered 2 boxes of Thin Mints and 2 boxes of Do-Si-Dos. A second one of those cuties better show so I can order Samoas also.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I placed this thread in the cycling-related open forum because I consider GS cookies critical to my training regime for descending.

*One tough cookie I must say. It's 45 degrees here with about a 10 degree windchill. She said she's fine in her sweats, GS vest and no hat or gloves. Dad was shivering in his leather jacket and gloves.

I think it's safe to say, however, that I won't be hooked on the Aussie specialty of ice cream and jellie (jello for you Americans). Nope, I think I'm safe.

Do they sell them in Australia? If not, let us know...we'll send you some.

The problem is that when the neighbor's kids come by, you MUST buy them.

However, when you're dieting, you MUST NOT eat them.

If I ship them to you, I can buy them and have an excuse to not eat them.

Plus, I could chalk up the expense to improving Australian/American relations.

    Good thinking Mr. Silver...

but I am a sucker for the peanut butter, and the samoas. For those of you who don't have a local girlscout you can go to any girlscout store and buy them there. (I only know this because MBBjr is still involved in scouting).

Girl Scout Store? What? I've never seen hide nor hair of one. Never even heard of one. Probably for the best.

This year, my neighbour and his daughter came but to sell those delicous cookies. Oh course I ordered a lot of them. They had a column to send boxes to our troops overseas. I really likesd that option. I could suport the Girl Scouts and the troups would receive cookies.

Both of my daughters are selling cookies, and I'm the troop Cookie Mom. So believe me, I've got a pipeline to your supply. Throughout the months of February and March you'd think *I* was the Girl Scout store based on how many cases of cookies fill up my dining room! Anyone who can't find a local Girl Scout and is in desperate need of Girl Scout cookies to fuel your training is more than welcome to send me a PM and I'd be happy to take your order. Of course, I'd have to charge you shipping too (and I can only imagine what shipping to Australia would be!)

(And if this is an inappropriate post, please accept my apologies!)

Oh oh, we now have a Supplier.

some might say pusher, but that might have negative connotations in certain circles.

Psssst, Rakekay, I'll let you know if I need a fix, if I don't hear from my usual pushers, er, I mean, Suppliers, in the next week or so.
