Well, we sorta over did it last weekend (oh my achin' head) so we're having a quiet evening at home and chowing down on some homemade ceviche I whipped up...do we know how to party of what!

Hey, did someone forget to pay the rent? How did we end up over here?

BMo3 - And just where were you when I was buying a bike yesterday? Yeah, that's right, talking to AG on my phone! That was an interesting conversation with the S.O. last night. Non-bikers just don't get it I tell ya. However, the bike is staying. Period. (Pounce is soooo sweet, Jen. We went out back in the woods this morning for a short, rainy ride. **tingly shivers** )

Hey Dar, I think your goal to lose weight before your next b-day is great. I agree with the ladies here on the advice given so far. I can see it if you only do the jump start of 1200 for one week but I definitely wouldn't keep that up longer. Personally, I would do about 1600 for myself for that period, but I know how my body burns. Yours may be much different.
Now, did I read that you signed me up for your race? I still need to see if I can get any days off besides my weekends (which I already have off).

Queen - Congratulations!! That is wonderful. So at 17 years, that puts you, um let's see, about 3/4 through the honeymoon stage by my calendar. Good for you!!

Deb - I just love your backyard. That hammock is so cool too. I really need to get one again and lay out under the stars. Not as much fun alone though. Jammy party at Deb's place. BYOH(ammock)

Ok, back to work. (I see sick people... and I'm one of 'em. )

Have a great day ladies and be safe.

Tell the good people the whole story for goodness sake. You said, "talk to AG", hand her the phone and while she and I are merrily talking you skulk off and buy the bike without even consulting me. I am glad you bought Pounce though.

Time to visit me again. I need to try a mtb out and Pounce looks perfect to me.

No, no, no. When I called, I ended up talking to your DH because someone wouldn't cut her workout short by 8 minutes to keep me from buying a bike. Right then was when I was deciding whether or not to buy. I needed you and you were somewhere over there lifting your leg (or whatever). Then when I was paying for her, I handed the phone off so you two could talk face to face, so to speak. Pardon me for trying to bring people together in this world. (Yeah, I'm so glad she adopted me too. Sooooooo, when can we schedule another play date? ) So, I'm checking out some SPD's to put on, I've got a spare pump and bottle cage already. My shoes are compatible already. Now, I need to find someone to ride. (with)

Oh, btw BMo3, thanks for telling me how to get rid of my attachments. Much appreciated. I didn't know I could do that. All of the incriminating ones are now gone. There are somethings that do not need to be seen by the whole world for posterity. And now that we've been "outed".... hehe.

X- "Outed"? You? Really? Noooo. Not you and your new bike! Most sincere congratulations; I hope your ride was every bit as much fun as it should've been. Hope you had fun. Non-bikers just don't get it...

Bikerotica is only for us special people, what with the sexy curves and angles of Pounce's strong, light frame, the sheen and silken smoothness of her paint, the way her levers feel under your fingertips, and her grips in your hands... I can only imagine what' it's like to have that first ride on a virgin bike... to feel every little nuance, the slight differences in handling, posture, the soft dip of the shocks as weight is transferred back and forth... Crisp shifting and the way you can stand on the pedals and rock the bike to hold balance... Nothin' like a new machine between yer knees.
    *shivers*
    I love bikerotica.

Slow day today, and I'm glad. Always lots to do...

bikerotica. For me, it's lusting after bikes I can't have. I like my Bianchi a lot, but fickle soul that I am, I don't lust after it like i did before I got it. That's just like a man! I don't understand. maybe after a longer relationship, filled with give and take love will build. It's a strange deal,. My feelings increased when I discovered someone else with a bike just like it. FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE. It's my favorite bike, but how awful is it to realize that with a piece of plastic (credit card) my veloce would be speedily religated to the back of the garage. Even worse, several people have suggested that i pull the components off of it and put them onto a new bike. THAT almost makes me ill! What would I do with an old Veloce bicycle frame? Kind of like having your pet cat stuffed after YOU killed it. I am so confused, I need help.

The journey of a thousand years begins with a single step...
that said, phone and internet contact, then visiting periodically, eventually you may just die of exhaustion on one such visit.

...because driving and flights are rough. And travel. That's rough too. Death by Jet Lag. or something. That's what I mean. Really.
