Thank goodness neither SKnot nor my beloved are here to witness this. Only the dog, and all *he's* thinking is, "do I get to lick out the pan when she's done? Huh? Do I? Huh?" <wag, wag, hopeful brown-eyed gaze>
well, your beloved is going to see THIS and with her imagination it will seem even worse. What were you thinking? you think the TE TD's can keep this kind of secret?

I am so enjoying this thread tonight. Thank you ladies!!! One more alcoholic libation and then some profound prose.

Knot - the visual that invokes. *Ahem* Don't worry about it hon, I'm sure Trek would have no problem helping you eat dinner out of your lap. (yup, I said it. )

AG called me with the details today. So, who wants to know what really happened?? (I accept chocolate as payment as I do not like coffee. Yup, I said that too. bite me. )

BMo3 - I'm still hysterically laughing about you-know-whut here. I'm trying to be good but it's so hard sometimes. HELP!!! hehe. omg... (Learn to be still X.)

Kit! Where are you, Kit? Oh, there you are, in your new home. Ok, wipe that sh*t eatin' grin off yer face and come play. (congrats hon!! )

Well, BMo3 is IM'ing me and shaking her finger profusely. I guess I better stop now. **lower lip sticking out, chin quivering** (did ya see, I still got it in there. hehe.)

Hey X, we are still eating those Wilbur buds. We ate them all the way to Seaside and then in our motel room, and there are still more.
They are great. No, not as good as the pedigreed chocolates that we just discussed, but good in their own wholesome way.

    Thank you

    In my crock-pot right now:

    Beef and Mushroom stew

    1 cheap steak, cubed
1 1/2 heads of garlic, cloves left whole
1 pound or so of mushrooms, cubed
1 bay leaf (not as good as the fresh ones in California!)
    1 handful of rosemary
water to fill pot to 2 inches below surface of ingredients

Edit: I just added a cubed potato because the stew was lookin' a bit wimpy

One of the very cool thing about cooking with mushrooms is the way they all of a sudden COOK and become cooked mushrooms and juice. I like cooking with mushrooms. Costco sells monster-huge bags of dried sh*takes, and someday I'll try them out. (Mmmmm, sh*take with chicken garlic ginger coconut milk cilantro and Thai hot sauce) (yup, almost Tom Kha Gai)

BMo3 - I'll have you know I don't pout when I'm drunk... I wistfully reminisce with an edge of melancholy thrown in for effect.

CC - at the moment, I'm listening to AC/DC's Big Balls song and being scolded by BMo3 on the IM. What else did you expect? Oh, wait, just switched to Thunder Struck. A classic...

    Turn it up!!!!!!!

I'm having Woodchuck Draft Cider - Granny Smith flavor. Very smooth. I could get used to this stuff. (BTW, thank you Kit for sharing.)

Anyone would do that alone. It's who you'd do it with that counts.

The location of the pot may be important too.

The thought is at a neutral place, maybe meet in the middle like Oregon somewhere dogs are allowed.

Hope they get along, a neutral place is an excellent idea...much less posturing that way. Give Mae a snuggle for me 'k?

CC - thinking of you today. Been in Edmonton for 4 days, heading home tonight. Weather's been good - only about -5 and clear. Supposed to have a high of -24 by Thursday so I'm glad we'll be gone by then!
