I'm sorry you felt so cruddy but you still deserve THE BIG CONGRATULATIONS for completing the 200K and your R12. Well done, girl. Now you can just be home and hopefully start feeling better. But you damn well should be proud.

Nanci!!! Been wondering how you've been. Sorry to hear you've not felt well though.

Congrats on the R12 award!! You know you've inspired me to try and do longer rides....not the nutty 400km ones though..200km sounds fine..hard but fine..

    Take care..

It was sunny and 73 here today! That's a record breaking high here in eastern PA...but did I ride. Nope...too tired. Why was I to tired you ask? I don't know...it may have had something to do with getting home at 3:00 am last night.

I really did my best to look pathetic at 12:15 when my husband was getting ready to go out the door. I even fell asleep reading. But he ignored me and when it was time to go, I was ready. It is so cold out there, and there's a storm front coming. I was in full battle gear! and i never got too warm. Now I can baby myself for the rest of the day (well, as soon as I get the clothes in the dryer)

It seems like all the west coast's warm air has gone to the east coast. what's up with that?

    Wow, Nanci,
your story gives me nightmares and I'm not even asleep. What an embarrassing painful mess. You've got pluck to have finished that ride in that condition!
    congrats on the R12 award!

Whoooo hooooo! Now where are details? Or should we let our imaginations fill in the blanks?

Hi TE TD, I'm back from brunch with Spazzdog and Theresa...ate far too much good food.

My mutt Mae, this is the dog who does not like any other dogs, that is she likes any other animal, even kangaroos but not dogs. She has found a friend. A neighbors young dog (also pitt mix) and she are buddies.

They played together on the lawn today, another first for Mae.

Peet's coffee is a brand name that started up in San Francisco. We PNW folks have an incredible coffee competition going. We think we're better than anywhere else in the coffee dept. We've got Tully's, Peet's and of course starbucks, and SBC, Seattle's Best Coffee.

I don't drink coffee, so I can't say which one is the best.
    No competition here.
Now CHOCOLATE... I can speak with experience about that.
