Alright..which one of you ladies sent Perth rain & cooler weather. It's only 20C...

Umm Deb & MP, what news story are you ladies talkin bout? I have a clue but can you pm me the link?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed Ian will ok my plan to visit North America in May/June... I just need to decide..Indy 500 in Indianapolis or F1 in Montreal, Van or INdianapolis..As i don't have my map of the US on my work computer, how far is bloomington from indianapolis??

I can see a TE TD meet up in the near future. Must go and visit a travel agent & see if it's going to be cheaper to buy a Round the world ticket...It's expensive to fly from perth and might as well...

CWR..can you venture on down if i venture up to N america?

Well, I am not sure why they're being vague but I guess I will be too. All you need to do is visit www.boston.com and see what our state government was up to today...

    and yeah, it's pretty vexing.

    Moving to Canada:

I often consider it. I grew up right on the border, and sometimes I feel more Canadian than U.S.

    Phishing???

I keep getting an email that says "Reset your Windows Live password". I do not have a Windows Live Account. I don'y want to reply as it requests in case it's a phishing expedition. It looks pretty real though. Anyone heard of this as spam?

When someone finds a way to mess with Macs, I will be so sad. I'm really enjoying the "open-source/other programming language" benefits of Mac. I don't understand it (other than the analogy that PC viruses trying to get into a Mac are like a man speaking Japanese trying to boss around a man who only speaks Russian) but I like it.

I hear ya. We just changed frm Macs to PCs at our school, against the lab instructor and my fierce opposition, and we've had nothing but problems. Plus the SD is no longer servicing or upgrading macs so I have to make do with my imac running 0S 9 at school. I'm tempted to secretly install 0S10 myself but I don't think it has enough RAM...

Anyhoo, I have never had a virus. I've heard there are a couple of mac viruses out there but so far, none here... I'm more worried about getting an overload of spam by replying to emals that are simply looking to see if it's a valid address...

Sounds like phishing to me. If you DID have a WL account, I would suggest writing to the WL service folks separately, not as a reply to the mail but look up their contact info and send them a separate message. Since you don't have an account, I would simply assume it's a phishing expedition and delete it. And for all you mac folks out there ... don't be so smug. There may not be a lot of mac viruses, but phishing and spam are non-discriminatory.

If you roll your mouse over the address of a phishing email, it should show you the url it points to. Phishing urls are always numeric to hide their identity.

I've got a bad feeling about this....

When I was hired the clinic where I work was planning to open a 2nd clinic. That didn't happen.

Yesterday I learned they are thinking of moving out of half the space they rent now, because they can't afford it.

Anybody with business experience who can chime in and tell me if this is common in business? I don't have enough knowlege, so I'm just fretting.
