I'd like to come along too!

I'd be very interested in the shorter-than-50-mile option, because I am breaking in a new Brooks saddle I got for Xmas (yay - maybe my saddle woes are nearly over!), but I don't think the saddle and my bum are well enough acquainted yet for 50 miles

    /hijack

With the amount of chocolate, candy, cookies and other "holiday food" - sugary syrup does not appeal. It doesn't help that I watched Supersize Me last night

c'mon snap - it will be fun!!!

for those wanting a short(er), flatter ride, you can turn around in fairfax where the super good coffee roastery is. it is also where the all organic yummy ice cream place is. I know it will probably be too cold, but this ice cream is insanely good.

    Good point!

Jo, I responded on your 12/30 ride thread also - this ride for Saturday will be MUCH easier than the 2 Marin rides you guys have done in the last 2 weeks. But... I will show you where the SPT bike path is....

It's a Team Pro "S" - black with copper rivets - I've had 2 Spinerval workouts on it, and tomorrow I'm taking it on a 25 mile ride on the Bay Trail, with my hex wrench in hand for adjustments. I'm hopeful!

OK - end of the highjack!

    Hey all-
I would also be keen on the idea of a shorter ride option. I might be fine for the 50, but I have been off my bike for a while, though have been working out and spinning. But my last long rides were over the summer in Houston, so while hot and windy there wasn't a hill in sight

Looking forward to seeing you all again!
