Ok, KG - you asked for it. You know better than to encourage me on this kind of stuff. So, lets see if I get kicked off of TE for this one...

Ya know, Kit, I had a lager one time that felt like a bullet (•) ripped through my ampersand (&) and right out my guillemets (« »). Turned out it was stuck in my ellipsis (…, ...) instead. Well, you know what that leads to. The doc had to take a dagger (â€*) type of instrument, up through my asterisk (*) and drain my umlaut (¨) out my backslash (\).
That was still better than the time I took x-rays on a guy who got a caret (^) stuck in his colon (: ) and had to use brackets [ ] to get it out. Awful process, really. Any further up there or at (@) a slightly different degree (°) of an angle and he could've lost his exclamation point (!). Close call that day. I've got a copy of the x-ray if you'd like to see it.

I've got more but I PM'd it to Kit and she made me stop there.
