Have a cozy warm night, Dar. IL guy is just making room for better guys to come. And have fun playing in the snow with the little guy---first snow of the season; he'll love it! Don't forget the hot chocolate for both of you.

Oh, Dar, I'm jealous! Have fun in your snow, and pretend about six shovel-fulls are for me, m'kay? I haven't shoveled in 3 years and I kinda miss it. A lot. Have a good time

BMo3 - wow 73 lbs - I am so impressed. Even more so by your attitude and personality btw. What kind of paralysis do you have? Is it very pronounced? MIL had a stroke about 10 days ago but she's 89. Still can't imagine it at your age...

Kits - enjoy (?) your last day/night at work! When do you start the new job? Did you go MTbiking? I haven't been on my bike for two weeks Maybe this weekend, in between writing report cards...

mtbdarby - snow! we had a few flakes today but nothing stuck. Won't be long now though. Got my snow tires on finally this week. How old is your son?

Offthegrid- youngest daughter emailed me today for a meatloaf recipe. She says she's trying to be just like me and needs all my recipes. Sometimes kids really know how to make you feel good

boob jobs. Used to think I wanted/needed one (when I was 21, skinny as a rail and a double A) but once I gained weight, didn't need it anymore. Now I just don't think it's that important. I can live with the sag....

Yay it's a long weekend! I am in desperate need of 3 days off....

Kelowna- I start my new job Monday morning, bright 'n early. I'm going to drive in the first week-ish to get the lay of the land, driving my twisty, weird biking route so I know it well before trying to bike it. I'll go biking tomorrow morning-ish, probably... gotta test out the rain jacket and new neoprene gloves

It's always so scary leaving what you're used to... but I know this'll be good for me... just gotta keep going. :eyeroll:

At least I have coke and ouzo waiting for me when I get home tonight.

Boy that was a loooong day again. Our ER and OR are just hopping lately. Had an OR on a friend late tonight. I didn't know it was her until I was already in there and she was out cold. Talk about shocker. I stuck around afterwards until they woke her up so I was the first face she would see. Gave her a big hug and kiss and let her know it went really well. Tucked her in before I left tonight. Kinda bummed me out but I kept a smile plastered on my mug just the same.
Here's the rub... Since I work in my hometown hospital, I'm constantly working on people I know. I never know quite what to do or say in these situations. On one hand, I'm their tech and on the other, I'm their friend/family. I can't tell them about anything that I see, so it's hard.
I'm the sappy type though and that gets me in trouble quite often. I got caught awhile back singing to a little one in my family while she was a patient in peds. (Dreamland by Mary Chapin Carpenter. She just loves that one before bed.) I tried to tell the nurses that she's family, but I got a rash of (funny) crud for a week from them up there. (Ok, I was wearing a rubber nose at the time. ) Who cares, I took the ribbing. The kid felt better and that's what counts, right?
Well, anyway, now I know what I'll be doing part of tomorrow. Visiting a sick friend in the hospital. I hope I hold it together. I'm worried about her.

Ok, time to catch up here.

Sorry, another very special person was in need of some TLC last night. I know you'd understand. Sorry you missed sleep but I see you caught a nap today. As for the hair... ya need another nap dear. And maybe glasses. Bifocals.

Nah, probably just got sh*t on by the others. (you shoulda seen the other comment I started to write )

    no response.

Well **** it, I'll go anyway. Anyone want to go to Hagg lake with me for some spontaneous, cold muddy slick singletrack fun in the rain? We can go back to my house for hot coffee or tea... really!
Oh, oh, me, me, me!! Oh, oh! Shoot, she picked CWR. **walks away kicking the dirt, head down, bottom lip quivering** I never get to play in the mud anymore.

I love meatloaf. And sweet potatoes. And green beans. When's dinner? Can I bring something?

BMo3 - congrats on the 73 pounds!!! I'm so proud of you.

As for the boob job - there are many drawbacks to these. Loss of nipple sensitivity, they will still sag - just further, and they can hide a breast cancer b/c we can't see through them like tissue. They have to be pushed way up into the chest muscle area to see properly. It's so much easier to miss a cancer with them. And honestly, they just don't feel right. I vote for natural boobs anyday. And what's so wrong with smaller ones anyway?

Alright, I've got some pressing things to get to before bed, so 'night TD. Sweet dreams.

HAHAHAhahaha! Where's the *laughing so hard you're crying* smilie?!

X- you rock. If I'm ever stuck in the hospital, I want you to do my films. Put that blamin' finger down, young lady! and... oh, I can't say it. Not here, but you're gonna hear it from me. CWR, lend me your bears....

CWR- See? If it weren't for me, who'd be pointing out how nice your boobs are and giving you weird, bizarre nicknames?

You can both go riding with me tomorrow if you can make it over here in time...

We had a white raven 'round by the cows for a few years.

A few months ago I heard a kitten meowing apparently stuck in a tree. But on looking up I saw it was a raven doing a great imitation.

    Congrats Kit!!!
So how does it feel to be happily unemployed for two days? (What a girl has to do to get a w/e off. Sheesh!!)

I'm outta here for a while. Got to ride today, it's just gorgeous. Going vehicle hunting too. Thought I found "the one", everything exactly what I wanted and then I see a 5-speed stick in the console. Shoot! I can drive stick, no problem, but I don't happen to want stick in a Jeep Wrangler. Too much bounce and since it will be my main car, I don't wanna be constantly shifting on my commute to work. Think I found another online so I'm heading out right after the bike ride. (priorities, ladies ) I really want to be in a different car by next weekend. Got plans and the Jeep will come in very handy.

(((((xoxoxo))))) Sending a monster big hug out to some people today. I'm not real strong so I hope you can feel it way out there.

Take care ladies and be safe!

Margo seems to have the most interesting fauna of us all (to me, anyway). Margo, will you tell TD the other animals you often see on your rides? Know you've done it on the rides threads, but not here...

I woke up this morning and felt my ribs and back pop, but didn't know why. There's the explanation! Yeah, man. I'm partying in style. Home maker for a couple days. Woo Hoo!

Gotta do my time at the computer, then go for a quick spin in the mud, clean up, meet my DGF at her work and go *shopping!* With bated breath, no less, ladies- she's going for jeans. I *love* a woman in jeans!
