My husband and I are planning a two week trip to California, to Santa Rosa to see the opening stage of the Tour of California! We are taking our bikes and plan to take several side bicycle trips. One that I have been wanting to do is along the America River. I am not sure of the name of the trail, but it goes for many miles through the California countryside. I can hardly wait to explore it!
It's the American River Bike Trail, also known as the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail.
My husband and I rode the entire length of it this past Saturday; it was about 68 miles and a whopping 1500 feet of climbing.
It's quite lovely, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
