Apparently some are still having difficulty grasping the concept? I think you should show up with your scar highlighted AND the neck bolts. Maybe then they might get the notion.

    naah.. probably not...

Would it be a really bad thing if you replied but with wrong directions? "first send ouch this command, then this one and .... ouch oh, copy that file over here like ouch so and .. oh did that erase your hard drive? Oh how silly of me. Must be because I'm on disability and in pain!!!!!!!!!!! "

Yeah, don't do that. but they would leave you alone.

    Dear universe,

I'm done. Really. I've reached my capacity for crap, so if you could hold off until I get one or two of these things dealt with, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

Dear driver who ran the red light in front of me this morning,

I realize that you getting where you need to go is more important than anything/anyone else, but having to lock up my brakes to come within inches of hitting you has caused my back to hurt again. It was healing up so well, please try to be more aware of others around you and understand the pain your actions can bring.

    Sincerely,

    Sore again

Thanks for backing me up, OakLeaf. I think it must have worked, because other than dealing with some some migraine aftermath, nothing truly crappy has happened today...and some of the other stuff looks like resolution is closer than it seemed (not incredibly soon, but there's a glimmer of light). The universe and I just may get back on friendly terms yet.

    Dear Cosmic Juju,
Thanks for lightening up on Dex, but Pax probably didn't really need the scare of her life yesterday morning. I know I don't always get this yin and yang thing, but could things run smoothly for just a little tiny bit?

Pax - I hope your back is feeling better.

Dear powers that be. I am starting feel like I am getting into a funk. Could just be hormonal, but gosh I don't want to feel blah during the holidays. Have not decorated as we have been fixing up the house, I may try to atleast hang the stocings.

    Hey Solo....
Sounds to me like you are doing a lot of good things for a lot of people. It's OK to get in a funk. Embrace the funk and treat yourself for a bit (hot chocolate, a yummy breakfast out, a night of movies and popcorn in bed?)
I think funks are nature's way of making us slow down and think about ourselves for a change when we are strained with too many obligations.
And you know, fixing up your house IS decorating it!
Be good to yourself, you're worth it.

<singing to self> We want the funk... Give up the funk...

It was my 40th birthday, at Tipatina's in NO, and a bunch of Marsalis offshoots showed up to play a set. ... Gotta have that funk ...
