I just had to share this picture I found on the internet. There were a series of turkey shots, but I can't stop giggling when this pictures flashes through my screen saver. We've all bee chased...but normally by the spunky weimeranar or mutt dog who thinks we rode by to play.

(This is the first time I've posted a picture, so if it doesn't work, i'll try again.)

I have an account at photoisland where I can host pics. If you want, you can email me and I'll post it for you. Or maybe you can post the URL.

    Animal Life

The funny thing is that jobob posted yesterday in the "adventure stories" that she road with goats. I've ridden with sheep before, and here's somebody with turkeys. Any others?

    Talking

What a cute photo! Somehow I think I'd much rather be chased by them then the dogs in our parts of rural NC!

How 'bout cows? Cows occasionally escape their fences....... A friend and I were biking along one day when we came across a couple people trying to herd their cows - that were on the road - back into the meadow where they belonged. They were having the worst time! It was hilarious. We watched for awhile, took pity on them, and then decided to help herd cattle from our bikes. The cows didn't know what to make of the bikes, plus we were yelling and it worked! Between them and us, we got the cows back behind the fence. We stopped to talk to the people. They were new on the farm, they didn't know what they were doing. They were so appreciative of the help. They didn't want to call on neighbors because they were too embarrassed. The whole situation was a hoot! They invited us in for a beer but we passed and continued on our ride. It gave us a story to tell for years........ we still tell it! And think of it every time we go by that farm.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived." Captain Jean Luc Picard
