    Question Helmets....

I am shopping for a new helmet, and just wondered if y'all have a preference which ones you like? I want one that looks very streamlined and matches with my nice new Lemond Bike, and does not look too clunky...
    are there special Women's helmets?
I was looking at the Bell GHISALLO, that one looks really cool!!
    your thoughts...?

Just make sure it actually fits your head shape, then worry about the cool factor.

Amazingly all helmets are not created the same. My hubby wears a Giro and I wear a Bell. The Giros don't fit my head shape. Bells don't fit his.

I replaced my helmet last year - one of the biggest factors for me was the number of vents. Because I sometimes commute to work and I also sweat a lot, I didn't want my hair to be completely sweat-soaked when I took off my helmet. I cannot believe how many more vents the newer helmets had! I ended up getting a bright red Giro E2, which I completely love!

I'm looking at a Bell Metro. It's really low profile and comfy. Try a bunch on, if it feels good, you won't really remember what it looks like when it is on your noggin!!!!

My biggest mistake was trying on a bunch without first looking at price tags. Of course I like the most expensive ohmygoshthatsallotadough helmet that I tried on!

    it came today from Performance.
It fits great, it has that ratchet wheel in the back and the colors match my bike...
woohooo...now I don't look like I am wearing a big blob on my head.
