I was finally able to dust off my Trek Fuel for a ride this weekend. We did a 12 mile, technical single track. There are four bridges: one made of rickety logs; the second is narrow and angles up and to the right coming off a steep and rutty down-hill and then, mid-river angles back to the left and down (scary); the third bridge, again, narrow and follows a sticky sand pit; the last bridge tilts at about a 15-20 degree angle. And I rode all four bridges for the first time ever! Granted, I did stop at the second bridge to give myself a pep-talk first, but I still made it. I was also able to practice hopping over some fallen-logs. I only fell about a half-dozen times with no injuries to report. I had such a good time. I'm making a vow to get on the trail once a week until they are buried in snow.
