    September Secret Sister Sign-up!!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Ok, I'm going to take the plunge here...and I'll moderate this month. (This means that I leave myself out of the name exchange, correct?)

If you are interested in joining the September Secret Sister goodie exchange, PM me before August 31st and I'll add you to the list.

Anyone have any ideas for a theme? I was thinking perhaps a "school supplies" theme to go with the season? Thoughts?

    How SS works:
    • PM me before August 31st with your name and address
    • On September 1st, I'll send everyone a SS name.
    • Shop for the gift matching the theme and mail it to your SS to be received before September is over. Whether or not you reveal yourself is optional.
    • Wait for your goodies to arrive!!

I am in and PMd you.

I do not see why you cannot participate. If you are concerned about fairness, randomly draw names out of a hete. Granted you will know who has you, but if that does not bother you, then please play.

As for theme-I will go with whatever. Something to do with fall (yes I am really looking forward to it). Not helpful I know.

    Count me in!

As a gift idea, how about tee shirts? We could pick out either something bike related or something from the area where we live. We'd have to include our size with the PM but we did that with the sox too.

Count me in for the first time! I'll send in my info. Yay!
How about a theme of "herbs and seasonings"?- Autumn being a good time to make and season soups and such. I feel cozy already.

    t shirt

I like the idea of sending t shirts...Something we can brag about to our friends...!

I'd like to do the food thing but am wary of receiving food. I will have to confirm with the lovely folks at Australian customs & Quarantine about items i can receive esp herbs...

I want to do this too!

School theme would be fun! I'm a 38 yo f/t college student. Yes, I finished my Calculus homework before playing online!

Or T-shirts would be fun too!

    Anyway, this looks like fun.

I hear you about the problem with food items and customs...what happened with the coffee, was it a problem?

For t-shirts we'd have to give our sizes, since some of us are really big girls and some are tiny. (Personally I never wear t-shirts, but that doesn't matter much.)
Hats tend to fit most people, especially if they are a stretchy material.

I assume socks have been done? The school theme is good too. How about handydandy bike tools as a theme? Books featuring inspirational women pioneers and adventurers?

What about a pretty notebook? Easy to find (tho' hard to actually choose!) and send packing-wise and Quarantine no worries.

    As for the theme...

T-shirts sound great. Bike lights even better! As do tool kits and the like!

Back to school stuff I like too! I'm a sucker for Stationary Hardly ever use it but will waltz into the valley (China town) and buy up big on hello kitty stuff. he he he

Damn! I like it all! This is too hard someone else pick!

I like school supplies and bike tools. Everyone seems to have tire levers or something they just think highly of, it is a great idea. So those are my two votes.
