Talking So maybe you can't have too many...

Ok, I know that you ladies will be nothing less than supportive and most of my family/friends already think we are nuts regarding number of bikes so I will share the news of my new ride with you fine folks. Last week, my husband suggested I might need another bike, somewhat less expensive than my first road bike, to ride in the rain and on the trainer. After a trip to our fav LBS revealed that they had some 2003 models 25% off, I found myself the proud new owner of a steel Lemond. My other ride is aluminum so I figured why not go with something different. I must say steel is a nice ride. I haven't ridden much as the brick of a saddle that came on it was more than painful so I'm awaiting the arrival of a saddle I can actually sit on.

I've come a long way from my husband's first bike purchase where I completely couldn't understand how something could cost so much money and not even come with pedals!! When he wanted a second bike, I told him he'd have to get it from his second wife! Alas, I've become a proper bikin' wife as he now owns 3 and so do I...

    Happy riding!!

Smile How man is too many?

I don't think you can have too many bikes . As long as you can still afford to pay the electric bill and buy groceries... Every bike has its own purpose. Here's my 5th bike. It's so much fun! I feel like a 10-year-old when I ride it. It has a really cool slick tire on the back and it makes nice skid marks on the sidewalk when you slam on the brakes!

The bike is a Schwinn Stingray. It's a girl's model called a Fair Lady. So the bike's name is Eliza (named after after Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady).

note the pink streamers on the bike in the front of the photo. That bike belongs to the gal on the right, blonde, who rode the trans-rockies ( with streamers, of course!! ) I'm the one in the orange.
