    Great pics

Wow! What a great family--Tri-riffic!!! Wish I had more athletic moments with my family. My Mom was a PE teacher, but having that last surprise baby at 41 knocked the wind out of her sails. So I'm working on my sons for future family adventures!!!

Great pix! You look strong and determined, as do your Mum and bro. Good for all of you!

I feel better about that face of mine that they captured in one race! Of all the moments to snap the shutter, right?!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing!! I love the one of you pulling off your cap. It's like your neck looks like that because the cap was suction cupped to your head and your breaking the suction!
Mum and bro look good too! SOO COOL that your mom races!!!! And IM??!!! TOO COOL!!! You guys are the family I wish I was in!!

adding to the family members who do tris, my three little cousins (7, 10, 11 years) are all doing their first Kids of Steel tri today. My Mum went to cheer them along. Their Dad, my Uncle is thinking of doing Ironman in two years as well! My mum definately got the ball rolling on this one! Her two kids, her sister, one of her brothers, and three of her nieces/nephews!
Hey did you all notice just how cheesy my family is!?! My mum, bro and I all had matching bike jerseys

Here's one of my aunt, also at IMLP. Click image for larger version.

I did notice that, and I thought it was not in the least bit cheesy. Very sweet. You all are an inspiration.

So far my family has shown no interest, although my brother's marrying a woman who's a marathon runner, so maybe she'll join me in a tri one day. I tried to bring my nephew to watch a kids' tri--he declined, saying, "Aunt Lise, it's just a tri-ATH-a-lon!" Oh! My heart! "Just" a triathlon?!? My three year old niece seems to be more of a jock, so I'm holding out hope for her.

Thanks so much for sharing those pics of you and your family!!! You all look GREAT (and I like what RM said about the one of you pulling your cap off).
I think it's so amazing that your family can do these things together! What a fun bunch you must be.

Hold out hope for those kids, I used to say its "just" a triathlon too! Kids love to be active, and are just looking for outlets for all that pent up energy. Why on earth my whole family took to triathlon specifically is beyond me! While its great that we can do it together, the important part is that we are all being active. Encouraging your family and friends to live healthy and active lives is of the greatest importance... maybe after that they will see how awesome tris are

Thanks, triflor! My nephew does love to be active, but at this point, it's more fun for him to make up games than it is to follow the rules. He'll turn 7 this weekend. Where does the time go? I'm giving him an exercise ball and some small free weights, because he goes straight for mine when he comes over here.

I would love to do a tri with my niece or nephew some day!
