Cops ask for help, bicyclists comply
Critical Mass avoids shooting scene, controversy

The last time hundreds of bicyclists took to the streets of downtown Seattle for the monthly Critical Mass demonstration, they were stymied by law enforcement.

This time, there were no problems and instead the bicyclists worked with law enforcement.

As I was watching TV coverage last night, I wondered what CM was doing. One of the women shot is a member of my church triathlon team. I hope the CM folks know they "supported" another biker by staying away from the scene and not blocking the routes needed by emergency services.

Thanks for the post Mimitabby. I was worried about the very issue as I got my Cascade newsletter yesterday which gave the CM ride a mention. I was especially concerned as one of my co-workers wanted to ride this CM.

What a senseless tragedy at the Jewish Federation. My heart goes out to the injured and their loved ones.
