    Thigh and foot pain

    To disable ads, please log-in.

When I ride for a pretty long length of time the bottom of my right foot starts to burn and the back of my right thigh starts to hurt a little. Nothing too severe. It just seems like my right leg gets tired before my left leg. Am I doing something wrong? Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

Hard to tell that could be a lot of things

One, your one foot may be larger than the other and your shoe is too tight which can cause burning on a longer ride. This may be your weaker leg, we all have them. You may have a leg length discrepancy which would mean that this leg is probably shorter and consequently, the hamstring is being pulled more in your peddle stroke compared to your other leg. Really hard to tell, but these might be causes?

Hamstring stetches might help the pain. They are good to do anyways. Keep an eye on things and if the pain increases, you might consider seeing a health care provider about it. It could also be that you are not properly fitted on your bike, and a little professional tweaking might help, too.
