One thing to add to Ziavelo's excellent advice - make sure the shoes you are wearing under your booties are NOT tight. Layering a couple pairs of socks is good, unless it makes the fit of the shoes tight. That cuts off circulation and will make your feet much colder than one pair of socks and booties and movement of the foot inside your shoes.
