    Tire width question

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I am full of questions today.

What's the difference between 23 mm and 25 mm tires (besides the obvious 2 mm ) Do they make any difference as far as speed or hill climbing is concerned?

    Thanks,

    barb

The difference? 2mm. You could go as narrow as 18s if you wanted. You have to decide if that much less tire is important to you. Most people will go faster by training right, not by putting a narrower tire on, but racers like to get every advantage possible in weight and speed. I prefer 25s to 23s because they are a bit sturdier, but if I were racing again, I might go with 23s or even 18s if I felt that it would put me at an advantage.
