what kinda racing goes on in your neck of the woods?

do you road race/track time trial???

ive stupidly entered a 100 mile tt end of july!yikes,!!!!!!

over here, distances for tt's are 10/25/50/100,with the odd peculiar distances and then the heroes that do 12 and 24 hr jobbies

womens road racing tends to be about 50/60miles.

then theres crit racing and track which ive no intention of wheeling into....
    who is driving your bus?

Middle Earth here - half a world away from England!

At Ramblers, the local club, we do mostly road races (20km for beginning grade - 40 - 75km for elite grade)... with a sprinkling of TTs (20 - 40 kms depending on your grade)... (Club grades are based on ability, not age)

The Club Champs and local Tours have combinations of TTs (15km for juniors, 25km for seniors), road races (up to 100km for senior men and down to 25km for juniors) and they also do crits.

The NZ Bike Nationals this year (in October) has a road race (my 17 yr old is racing 115km, my partners is 92km) and a time trial (my 17 yr old has 25km, my partners has 20km) for each class/age group.

My races at the moment are around 25km long, though I am moving up a grade and they race 35-40km. I like time trials and train for 20-25km ones at local level - and the TT next year I hope to enter in the Nationals is 20km for my Vet class (age group)

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
