I am so excited

I finally got with a friend that just finished nursing school to go ride our bikes together today. So, this morning, I am dressed, ready to go when my phone rings. I could not believe it was her. When I answered, there was a very frustrated person on the phone. She had been working on her bike (she has had it for 12 years) for an hour and was not getting anywhere. She has been considering getting a new bike, but just finishing school, did not want to spend the money. Darn that bike shop having a sale. So, instead of riding this morning, we were at the LBS when they opened. 3 hours later, we are leaving with a beautiful Specialized Roubiax. I am so excited for her and for me. I now have a riding partner that wants to do the same things that I want. We both have that competative gene, so racing will definately be in our future.

That is exciting! I recently bought my hubby a bike for his b-day (June 12) and it is so much nicer having a regular riding partner.
