    Bike Computer Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a bike computer that also tracks heart rate and preferably is wireless? Thanks!

I have heard good things about the Cateye Double Wireless and the Garmin something-or-other (sorry, can't be more specific).

The Cateye double wireless is bulky and extremely challenging to program. The Garmin Edge 305 has received great press. Our customers have all been extremely pleased with it's performance.

Oooh, I like that Garmin 305! A little pricey, but it looks like a good candidate for my Christmas list. Or maybe when school starts and I start getting paid again... I'm such a gearhead. Or does this just come under accessorizing?

So the Garmin uses GPS technology to calculate speed and distance, I gather. But Garmin's ad copy isn't clear on whether you need the cadence option just to calculate speed (calls it "speed/pedaling cadence sensor"). Bikemom, can you shed any light on this confusion? I'm not too concerned about measuring my cadence, but I do like pretty much everything else about this snappy little item.

I have a cateye double wireless and while it's kind of a pain to program, I have no complaints about it. But people I know who have the new garmin edge swear by it.
