    Ode to my bike...

Oh how I long to ride my bike
how I long to be set free
pedaling away on my bike is where I want to be
the hot desert sun on my skin
the smell of the mesquite trees
oh how I long to ride my bike
how I long to be set free....

But alas work has brought me to Las Vegas, not at ALL where I want to be
15 hour days, strapped to a desk, longing to be free
when pedaling away on my bike is where I want to be
the constant phone calls from builders screaming at me
riding my bike at this point is only a dream to me
Why can't we find better workers?
    Maybe it's the smoky air?
All I know is I want to feel the wind blowing through my hair.
Maybe some day they'll figure it out
    maybe they'll get a clue
but in the meantime I'm stuck in this place dealing with the doo doo...
Oh how I long to ride my bike
how I long to be set free
pedaling away on my bike is where I want to be!!

At this rate... you might french kiss your bike before your hubby when you make it home!

I spent some time in Las Vegas when I was pregnant, and right after. First place I ever saw a roach in a motel. Last, too, until Florida. Scum Town. But with good buffets!!

Oh, RM, I'm shedding giant bicyle tears for you. I know you love your bike (and who wouldn't- she's a beauty), and hopefully soon you'll get to ride her like the wind. Until then, chin up. She's waiting eagerly for you....

What are you doing there? Do you need us to come rescue you? (Envisions TE rescue squad swooping in, at various speeds, of course, towing your gorgeous bike in a trailer...) Hope you get out and get home soon. L.
