Very "feminine"!

I am just starting to look for an entry-level road bike. I went to a local shop and got fit. After taking my measurements the bike shop guy noted that my proportions are extremely "feminine" -- so women's bikes may not be womanly enough for me. I'm 5'11" and need a 57cm bike, but with a top tube of 52cm. (Apparently I have long gangly legs and little stubby arms.)

I'm hoping that someone out there can tell me which brand makes bikes that are on the extreme end of the woman-sizing spectrum -- i.e. a large bike size with a very short top tube.

Any ideas? (And yes, I know, I'm a perfect candidate for a custom bike -- but I'm talking ENTRY LEVEL here!!!)

Thanks!
-e.

Have you looked at any of the WSD (women specific design) bikes out there? They are specificallay for the long legged, short waisted build of female. That would NOT be me. ;-)

Have you checked out Terry bikes? They are not only for shorties like me!
The entire frame is sized for the type of "womanly" build you have, though I haven't
checked the exact geometry on the larger models.

Good luck!

Bikes

Also try Specialized brand bikes. They make a variety of sizes in women designed bikes (Sequoia and Dolce and Allez) at www.specialized.com

Good luck.
