    And the Winner is.......

After months of contemplating between my 2004 Terry Symmetry and my 2005 Trek 2100 I have come to a discission on a road bike. The winner is......the Trek 2100!

The ride is so very different between them so it came down to comfort, feel and heck - I just seem to have bonded with the Trek, lol. The Terry top tube is in reality just too short for me to be comfortable. And even though I crashed on my Trek, a trip to a new lbs yesterday along with a shorter handlebar stem and slight seat forward adjustment has made me more comfortable with this fit. Of course, if he throws me again his name will go from Forest to Murphy! But then again, after my tour, the name could change or he could go from a he to a she. Time will tell

SO, I'm happy with my new bike and desicion and I'm off to post the Terry for sale!

He looks so naked!! How big is he? _Can_ a WSD bike be male? How'd you get that bottle cage on the seat tube?? Lava doesn't have holes there, and she's too short for a bottle to fit!

Nanci, that's the picture Doc sent me. He/she is now sporting a bento bag, seat bag and a road morph pump off the top tube (just put that on yesterday, don't know if I can get the water bottles out with that on!). I think it's a 50cm frame but I'm having a brain fart right now and can't find doc's original posting on it. It obviously came with holes for two cages so I'm not argueing there.

I hear you on the wsd, but other than the Terry, my bikes have "felt" male. Although it is almost too purty to be male! Like I said, I think after the tour it may officially be named so stay tuned.

If Lava were to have an identical sister, what do you think her name might be?!

But of course you went with the Trek - how else will we Trek riders take over the world??!!

    Congrats - he's a beaut!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
