So I was fortunate enough to meet another TE gal this weekend (my second) and met Renee at the Big Ring classic. She was getting registered when we got there so we were able to chat for a bit. What a sweetheart! And girl, I'd kill for your legs

Sorry I didn't make it over the next day for the race - please post how you did. I was thinking about you, but I needed to get to church and I just couldn't get up early. I finally got a good nights sleep with my goofy arm so I took advantage of it. I was so disappointed I couldn't ride with you though. I hopped on my trainer and didn't last long because my arm swelled so bad. I am so frustrated with this thing!

Anyway it was awesome meeting you and it was still cool to feel all the excitement in the air. Even my bf could feel it!

    Oh, and cool bike.....
    Dar

very cool mtbdarby! I got to ride with tprevost for the first time this weekend.. it was SO fun makes me wish we could have a TE reunion... altho we'd have to meet once for it to be a "re" union right? Oh well... you get the idea...
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

    Hey dar,

It was great to meet you and your bf. I hope your arm is doing better. I really enjoyed the Sport course in Wausau. It was fun and parts of it were super technical. Big Ring Classic is what a mountain bike race should be! Let me tell you, full suspension was the way to go on that course. (Just check out the Trek pro's Tristan Schouten's blog. He chose to ride fs and won the race. http://www.tristanschouten.blogspot.com/ )

I did so/so. I had a charlie horse in my right calf on the second lap. The muscle tightened so bad that I thought I was going to die (must have been from pushing my big ring so much). I had to get off my bike and rub my calf to untangle the muscle. It slowed me down a little bit and costs me a few spots. I wasn't able to hammer as hard on the second lap because I felt like I was always on the verge of cramping. But it was still a fun race....I had a great time. I was 18th overall (out of 50+) and 5th in my age class. Hopefully I can get my riding together by July because like to be placing top 5-10....but we'll see.

Here is a photo of me chasing down a male singlespeeder.

I definitely passed a bunch of the male riders who took off in the wave before us. But the sad truth is that 3 female singlespeeders beat me....you should see their legs....they make me look out of shape.

My brother had a fantastic race. He was 17th overall out of 130+ comp guys.

Take care of that arm and get back on your bike!
    Just keep pedaling.
