    My apple bottom

I've just been reading the threads on saddles and shorts, and almost everyone has a different idea on what's best. I just posted on the saddle thread, then thought about why my saddle is so uncomfortable for someone else, and realised we often don't mention our body shape. Weight yes, but what about whether we are mesomorphs, ectomorphs or endomorphs? I am the latter, which means I am a pear shape, with a big round apple bottom. I have a friend who is a meso, and she looks like a potato, with a pancake bottom. Another is an endo, with a bottom like a round peach. We all have very distinct preferences in saddles, and they are quite different. Hmm. Then realised that all my descriptions were about food. What do you think that means?!

I'm a meso-endo. That's a mesomorph with an endomorph end (thin waist and a sweet peach behind)! My husband loves it, I hate it (as do my like-bottomed daughters), as it is hard to find pants that fit the rear without gapping at the waist. I like the new mid-rise pants that are out because they don't hit the waist.

Oh, and by the way, with all my shorts questions, at the advice of my lady LBS owner, I bought a pair Sugoi Evolution shorts. They hit me perfectly just below the navel in the front, come up higher in the rear, and the leg grips are not too tight. I roll the grip up, and they anticipated that and printed the logo on the gripper so it reads right side up. I love love love them. But they do run a little small.
