Question Bay Area - Ride this evening?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Any of you Bay Area gals want to ride today after work? (Wednesday)

Dachshund - want to bring your new bike out to play?

I'm trying to decide between Old Tunnel Rd (and maybe along Skyline) and my old favorite the Bay Trail.

It might be cold and foggy on the Bay Trail. It might be windy. But if it's clear, riding along the bay will be so beautiful. On the other hand, riding hills is good for me, right? On the other other hand, it's nice to go faster than 4 mph from time to time!
    Keep calm and carry on...

Hey - I didn't realize anyone had posted...

I could be in Emeryville ready to ride by 5:45 or so... I'm looking out at the bay right now from my office - it doesn't look too terribly windy...

How about 6:00 pm (after a quick PM exchange with Tomgrrrl!)

I usually start off in Emeryville in the parking lot past the roundabout (further along past Chevy's). I have a map/satelite image somewhere on my laptop - I'll chase it down and post it...

Or - since both of you are berkeley/albany based - we could meet at Pt Isabell or somewhere more central for you guys...

SuperD - Tomgrrrl has my cell number - pm me if you'd like to ride, and I'll give you my contact info...

Am beginning the "Laundry Marathon", probably finish sometime tomorrow. Will require at least 2 trips to the laundry mat as even I can't carry the accumulation in one go... unless I use the car, which I'm not doin'!

Anything on tap for maybe Sunday?

Sunday may work for me! Let me know. If it's the Bay Trail Spazz I could pick you up on the way there.

    bikerz,
That's so nice of you - I came down with a head-cold today, so I'll have to see. So inconvenient, a cold. I'm so completely annoyed! I get one about every 3 years, so go figure. Have fun with the laundry, tho!

Fun ride tonight - me and (speedy) Tomgrrrl and Winddance. It was beautiful out there -a little breezy, but not the worst I've seen!

Let's do it again - bigger group, more advance warning!

I can't go Sunday, I don't think - I'm going over to the city to see the ALC riders off.

If you guys do happen to plan a ride this Sun. (you might already know this, or you might be BART riders...) the bay bridge will be closed eastbound until 10am Sunday morning:

    Weds night rides

For future Weds, a number of Yellowjackets do a Tunnel-Skyine-Juaquin Miller-Moraga ride on Weds evenings. The group leaves at 6 sharp. Many of the usual crowd are doing ALC, however, so don't know if next week will be happening.

You don't need to be a Yellowjacket to participate, of course.
