From my struggling in the neighborhood earlier this week, I have progressed a lot. I am easily riding five miles and I feel like I am ready to double that. My average speed has picked up considerably and I am beginning to understand cadence and rhythm on the bike. It isn't necessary to stop and rest anymore. I am feeling pretty motivated- I had a slight hangover this morning from a few beers yesterday evening and still got out for a ride! There were two riders I caught up with; while they weren't riding fast, the fact that I caught them was a psychological victory. I don't think my day would be complete without some time on the bike. Now if I can just get over my fear of hills...![]()
