Post ride (tmi?)

We had a great ride yesterday - really pushed & climbed a very difficult route. I haven't completely analyzed it yet, but we think the main climb was about 2 miles long? Anyway, got thru the burn & recovered, did another smaller climb, finished the ride & got home. As I was changing, my stomach hurt ~ as in uterine cramps. I also noticed that I'd started spotting a bit? I'm no stranger to spotting, but this seemed directly related to the ride - it isn't due to show up now.

My saddle is still causing some discomfort - but I don't know if I should be blaming that exclusively? Lhep?

Maybe it is piles (hemoroids (sp!?))
Our sensations tend to get a bit confused "down there". Cervical and anal discomfort are kind of similar

I also get mild cramps and spotting from heavy exertion and pressure on the abdomen. I always figured it was because I wear an IUD, though I suppose it's possible to happen without that.

I started last year with the same problem, after any heavy hill climbing or hard riding, I would get the cramps, and a heavy bleeding episode would occur when I urinated, and then I would go on like nothing ever happened. That started in the fall. Didn't do riding over the winter and my cycle was normal. Same thing started this spring as soon as I got back on the bike. Went to the gyn., had an ultrasound last week, saw my family dr. while he was off duty and said to make sure I follow up on my US with the gyn. as it was very abnormal. Called the gyn, she'd call me back at the end of the week when she could look at my chart better. Please make sure you follow up if this continues, I'm not sure what the results are but wishing I had it checked maybe sooner..shelly

Do you have fibroids? They can bleed independently of your period, but it is really difficult to tell the difference between the two.

Shelly - *hug* I hope it's easily resolved for you!

Beth - I don't think so ~ at least, in 3 years of infertility investigation we haven't found any. I thought we were dealing w/ a minor hormone imbalance, but maybe I need to revisit the issue. joy.

If you had a fibroid, you would probably know. They are easily detectable in a regular gyn exam, and it sounds like you have regular exams. So that's probably not the problem.
