    still hooked

My bike is almost four weeks old and has nearly 200 miles on it

My longest ride to date is 24 miles. I'm getting ready for the 38 mile option of the Little Red Riding Hood ride in two weeks and am on track so far in my plan to get my rear end acclimated to riding that long. I'm planning to do a long loop home through the valley tonight, about 17 to 20 miles

It's been insane at work, I never had a chance to ride last weekend, I hope I can get enough time for a 28 mile ride this weekend. I putt-putt along at about 11 mph on average.

Good for you!!! Sounds like you're doing a great job of getting your sit bones ready for the ride. You'll do just fine!!
Some days, depending on wind, terrain, etc... 11 mph average is something I hope for. You'll do wonderfully, and have such a great time that it won't matter how fast you rode, or what the weather is like (although I'll be hoping for the best of both for you).
Be sure to tell us all about your ride when you finish!

Hey, Ellen, if you haven't already, check out the Southwest section on this board as there are a few threads about LRRH. I think there are about 16 of us from Team Estrogen that are going to be there.

very cool! sounds like you're really loving the sport already... and believe me, the farther you go and the more you learn, the more hooked you get!
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".
