    Question Zodiac sign/bike correlation?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Looking at Nanci's Lava, admiring all the "stuff" she manages to carry, it occurred to me to wonder if that has anything to do with me being a Cancer. Cancers are supposed to love to make a home, and to be very nurturing. I deliver babies for a living, and carry everything you need to survive a natural disaster in my purse and in my seat bag on my bike.

So I got to wondering--what kind of cyclists are people born under the various signs? Like...Leos might have really, really beautiful custom painted bikes. And Geminis might need at least two bikes all the time... What'd'ya think, ladies of TE?

    I'm not so sure.....
I'm a Leo and I certainly don't have a custom painted bike. In fact, I don't have custom anything as far as I can remember. Not that I wouldn't want one, I'm just too cheap. I like to think of myself as practical. I have a bike that I can use for any type of riding I might do. One that can handle being handled. One that can be used and not just admired. I'm a clutz so anything too fancy I would be afraid to even touch.

But I love that in your avatar, you are literally tied to a cat! Mrrrow!

I'm speculating about Leos and fancy bikes--my ex is a Leo and had a custom paint job done on her bike--I don't remember her ever riding it! But it sure was pretty. Better an all-around useful bike that you actually ride, eh?

See...being practical again. Cat needs the vet and I can either walk or cycle the two miles. Cycling lets me sleep in 15 minutes longer. So I strap the cat on my back and cycle. And of course cheaper than getting a taxi.

Hmmm. I'm a scorp. I only have the one bike, which I'm loyal to and love dearly, but I lust after anything good looking with two wheels. Think that's acurate?

Hmmm, I'm a capricorn and ride a lemond zurich.

So capricorns are stubborn, practical, disciplined, and have a somewhat cynical sense of humor. I guess my bike being named after a guy who got shot in the chest and went on to win Le Tour says something about being stubborn and disciplined

Hmmm, I'm a Sagittarius and my bike is an Orbea Dama Race in blue. Sexy, but not gaudy.

ETA: Forgot to mention... I ran an old beater bike for years until I could get exactly what I wanted. No in-betweens for me.

Hmm. I'm also a Leo...my bikes are all vintage, and I haven't given them particularly fancy paint jobs. You can decide:

Just a basic country girl....nothing fancy about me or my bikes.

..../another Libra. My Rivendell is quite balanced and I love its classical beauty.

    Libra here...

    Jamis Coda
    Luna Eclipse
    Dahon Matrix
    Specialized Stumpjumper
    Bridgestone MB-2
    JC Higgins 3-speed
Vitus (crashed beyond repair, still have it though)

I'm on the cusp of Scorpio, too, but I had my chart done when I was a baby (my hippie mom did) and it indicated that I'm firmly in Libra.

Me too - the Sag, not the bike. My Eddy Merckx is also "sexy but not gaudy".

Here's what one site says about us:

    Sagittarius About Your Sign...

Sagittarians have a positive outlook on life, are full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experience beyond the physically familiar. They enjoy travelling and exploration, the more so because their minds are constantly open to new dimensions of thought. They are basically ambitious and optimistic, and continue to be so even when their hopes are dashed. Their strongly idealistic natures can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. They are honorable, honest, trustworthy, truthful, generous and sincere, with a passion for justice. They are usually on the side of the underdog in society they will fight for any cause they believe to be just, and are prepared to be rebellious. They balance loyalty with independence.

We enjoy travelling and exploration. I guess that explains all the double centuries!
