I posted about doing a Metric Century solo this weekend and my fear of flats. Tonight I had to change a tire (got a small bulge in the sidewall) and DH thought it would be a good opportunity to try changing a flat. It was hard, but I did it twice. I am having issues with our hand pump and need to go pick up a different one tomorrow. Other than the pump, I feel pretty good about my new skill.![]()

Congrats on changing your flat!! The more you practice, the better you'll become. I was baptized by fire on my first flats- had 3 in one day.
Great job! And now if you flat during a race, you won't be worried about what to do- you'll just whip it out and change that tire in a hurry!![]()
way to go! for the pump check out the road morph... best bike pump I ever bought... it stands up like a floor pump... it's the only hand pump I can use to get pressure to 120psi! the other hand helds I can only get to about 80psi... I just don't have any more arm strength than that...![]()
