    Question Trainer

The weather hasn't been that great around here recently, which has made me start considering getting a trainer to keep in shape even when it's raining. What kind do you recommend? I'm thinking about a fluid trainer, especially since I live in an apartment and wouldn't want to annoy the neighbors too much. My boyfriend has a 1up trainer, which I really like, but unfortunately, I don't want to spend $300 on a trainer. What has worked for you guys?

I have a Minoura Rda 850 rim trainer. Pretty quiet and smooth, and you don't have to change knobby tires if you are using a mtb. I managed to get one on sale at a LLBean outlet for under $100, I think you can find them for ~$150 without much problem.

I have a Blackburn Mag trainer. It's pretty quiet- doesn't make much noise at all. I like having my trainer for those days when outside just doesn't sound fun (and for days when I have to ride at 5 am and ride, but it's still dark for another hour or so). It was only $150, and my LBS gave me a discount because I was a member of the local cycling club (glad I asked about it).
