awww that is a tough one when you have pet friends. Did you check with a real estate person? They manage places for people with rentals? You might have some luck there.

The apartment where I live is raising the rent to $803/mo. OUCH! If anyone knows of 2 bed rentals that allow a dog for less than that in the north end of Seattle, Shoreline, Edmonds, Bothell, LFP, Lake City, Kenmore, Juanita, please please send me a PM. I've been searching the internet and haven't found anything that will allow a dog and is cheaper.

Have you tried craigslist?
I second the Craigs thing. When Spazzdog was down here we did a lot of Craigs searches. Ultimately we found her an apartment because a friend of mine gave me the wrong number and we went there. Spazz charmed them into allowing her dog. That darn dog has more references than most people.![]()

Yeah, I've been checking Craigslist. It's lookin' pretty sparse. Looks like I qualify for some low-income housing loans, but the Section 8 housing vouchers for rentals would only bring me to $750-$800 /mo anyway. Plus there's still the dog issue.
So, I guess I'm best off staying put for another year while I work on getting Seattle Office of Housing grants and loans and looking for a qualified house or condo.
My favorite idea is to buy a travel trailer and rent a parking spot in my friend's driveway. (and drag it to some lovely beach in the islands every weekend) But I think Child Protective Services might have something to say about that!
But hey, then I'd own my own home!![]()
