Hey Beta! You did it!

I'm making a new thread of this, because the ride report thread won't let me post a reply. Does that ever happen to anyone else? Sometimes I just cannot read or post to a certain thread...and then hours or days later, it's not a problem.

Anyway--what an amazing ride. I was thinking of you all weekend. We sat in the airport an extra two hours on the east coast today because of weather in Chicago. I see my fears were well-founded. You are a champion. I am glad, and not at all surprised that you finished. You know the weather cannot be this bad at the end of May. You definitely deserve that shiny new rain gear.

Thanks Lise. It was pretty bad here all weekend. The only difference between today and yesterday is I spent today indoors. Sorry you were delayed. Sitting in an airport is it's own form of misery. At least the first half of the ride was ok and rain-free. So only half was the killer. I suppose I have a new precedent to compare all other rides to. I can always say "yeah well it's not as bad as that dang brevet!"

Supposed to rain a lot around here the next few days. Hopefully there will be some times that riding will look appealing.

Hey I'm up for it. Once it stops raining around here I'm down at NMH all the time now, so just say when and I'll bring my bike.

Sounds good. I'm at NMH all the friggin' time too, but not by choice. This month will be busy, but I have a week of vacation the last week of April and I'm planning on staying in town. And most of my weekends are free too. PM me - maybe we can get together for coffee or something!
