Just went to my LBS and bought my 11 year old daughter a Trek MTB. And a matching purple helmet. We are so excited. She is the youngest and has always gotten hand-me-down bikes. The two older kids don't even want to ride.
The store owner, Gina, (yes a woman and the toughest MTBiker I know) spent time in the parking lot going over braking, shifting, mounting and dismounting. Going for a ride after dinner...
