First Group Ride

Well I did it and it was quite an adventure. My BF's best friend assured me that he would stay with me even if we had to walk back to the car! Even picked on me for being nervous. He dropped me for some blond on a bike in the first 3 MILES!!!!! I saw him once more at a stop sign and then he dropped me AGAIN!! THEN, they decided to just leave the ride and go on their own ride - so he wasn't at the cars until 40 minutes after I got back!!

The ride was suppose to be 14-16mph and 13 miles - It was actually 17mph and 23 miles. I had a great time though. They do have a no drop policy so the sweeper rode with me and another gentleman that is recovering from surgery. I dropped my chain twice and fell once. Stupid fall and I hope it won't happen again but the owner of the store was riding with our group when it happened and he gave me an 8 - said he'd have given me a 10 if I'd fallen to the left and into traffic.

Not to worry - BF's friend has already planned another outing for me. His new buddy has a friend who's just starting also and they're planning a field trip for Thursday - yeah - not unless my sweeper is there - cause I already know he'll drop me!!
