Any rides around here late June-early July?

    Hi all,
Looking forward to meeting many of you at the Cinderella on Saturday. Unless it rains. But at least the dinner won't rain out. Also .... hmm, looking forward? dreading? somewhere in between? ... anyway, hoping to manage at least a good chunk of the ride. Then it's off to Norway, England, Scotland, and back to Wisconsin until June 26. Hope to do a ride or two in WI May-June, probably short ones (under 50 mi) and flat by California standards. Then back to California for another couple weeks before going home. I'll be in the Bay Area June 26-July 10. Tried googling to see if there were any sweet rides between those dates, but didn't find any. Anybody happen to have one to recommend?
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

plus give you a taste of riding on a flat-bar road bike or road bike.

Death Ride is 7/8. But you have to get in the lottery for that. Other than that, there seems to be a real dearth of rides during that time period.

and into shape I'm not sure I'd feel I won the lottery if I won that lottery ;-) Might need a few more Mt. Diablo climbs for that one.

Bikeless, the Lunachix Sunday ride series will be ongoing, there are club rides....lots of less formal rides to do.

HA! Well, it is perfectly acceptable to do anywhere from 1 to 5 passes, and it is a stunningly beautiful ride. So it doesn't have to be as bad as it sounds!

Right MP- for you...... if the others only knew what you did LAST YEAR! I'm sure the DR is a piece of cake for you, but...........how many feet elevation gain in 138 miles- 15,000???????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Now, there's always the Seattle to Portland ride in July. 2 days, fab roads and great food. 8999 riders, too. It's a party all the way!
