OT- Need vibes for a little angel

    Hey There-
I know I can count on you fine ladies to come through for me this morning.
My neighbors young daughter is having surgery for Cerebral Palsy today. It's a really dicey surgery. They have to pull her spinal cord up out of her body and then cut about 25 nerves. As you can probably guess there are alot of things that can happen in a procedure like this. But at the same time it's a surgery that may allow her to walk some day, so her parents felt they had to take the chance.
So if I could ask that you send a few healing vibes and/or prayers - if so inclined- towards Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix today, I would really appreciate it.
her name is Jenna and she is a sweet little girl. She's kinda fiesty like all of us too! She is constantly fighting to do the same things her siblings do. And I see her watch them ride their bikes with envy in her eyes. Maybe someday she'll be able to ride a bike too!
    Thanks All
Have a great day, and don't forget to embrace life!
    Denise

Oh, sweet baby Jenna, you're gonna come out strong and able !

Your post brought tears to my eyes. I can imagine how terrified those parents are. That fighter spirit in that girl will serve her well in this, I'm sure.

Oh wow - what a story. I will be thinking of her and wishing her the best. Way to put things into perspective.

Always!! and please let us know how the surgery went!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

My thoughts and prayers are with them. I have a 3 yo myself who had surgery at 16 months. NOTHING prepares you for seeing your little one's going through this, and his was minor compared to this. God bless them all and keep us posted.
