Looking for new shoes. Narrowed it down to Shimano M21 and the Sidi Bullet mountain bike shoe. I have a road bike but like the ability to walk with a little more ease if I have to. Anyone have either of these shoes? Not sure which one to get. Both feel good.

I have Shimano MTB shoes which look exactly like the 121's, which I think is what you mean. Last forever- but kind of heavy. Show absolutely no signs of wear in six years, except dirty.

I also have Sidi Rockets, which are very similar. I love them. Soft, (not the soles!) comfy, light. Pretty. I've only had them since this fall, though, but I asked an MTB friend before I bought them, and he said his pair have lasted forever, even with _serious_ mud- like they had to be cracked out of mudballs.

Someone also told me about LAKE shoes, they have road shoes that have recessed cleats that make the shoe comfortable to walk in. Not sure which one or where to get them though.

If you have MTB shoes with the big dirt lugs on them, like both of the styles you are looking at, and use SPD cleats, they are recessed enough that they shouldn't clack, anyway. They are pretty low profile. 1/8 inch?

Lots of online shops have Lake.
