    For Sale...parts!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I will post more specifics here tomorrow, I need to make certain my list of parts and prices are correct but I wanted to give a heads up.

My Gunnar has been stripped, sadly. This DOES mean, however, that there will be lots of parts available from a SRAM mountain bike drive train for sale. Oh yes, also an exquisite, though small, bike frame + fork Feel free to contact me before tomorrow via the messages if you already know you need something and might be interested and we will talk. I hope to have all the bike parts plus related items posted here, as well as on Pink Bike, by tomorrow evening.

There will be a local bike swap meet on August 23, so hopefully I can sell whatever is left at that time, but we will see. It isn't the MAJOR swap meet we have locally in February.

Catrin, I think that was a smart move. I know it is painful to "take apart" a bike you are attached to but being so size and person specific, breaking it down makes a ton of sense. Good Luck

    Starting with three items

Light and Motion Vis 360 + LED Headlight and Tail Light: charges with any USB cord. Both helmet mounts are included. It retails for $130 (REI) to $180 (Light and Motion). I really enjoyed using this combination for my morning commutes. On the highest settings with everything blinking the charge lasted right at one hour. While I had other lights on my bike, I felt this combination of helmet lights really helped me to be visible, especially from the side.

    $75 + shipping

    Attachment 17312

Sigma 1609 STS Double Wireless Bike Computer (cadence and speed). All mounts included, all batteries were changed this winter. No manual, but the manual is available via the Sigma website. I actually found a website selling this for over $250! That is just nuts. I am only asking $40 + shipping

    Attachment 17313

Mavic Scorpio (2011) MTB shoes with Frog Cleats. Size 8/Euro 40. While they were a bit small for me, I really liked these shoes. They ARE white and have some marks, especially on the grey toe covers and light black marks close to the sole. You can see this in the photo.
    $25 + shipping

Pretty much everything else is a deconstructed SRAM drive train - mainly X0 and X9 :-) I will be posting them on Pink Bike, and will post those links here so I don't have to post lots of pictures both places. It will take me a few evenings to get everything on line, so if you already know you need, or are interested in something, send me a message and we can talk about it!

Thanks GLC! It really is a NICE combination. I wouldn't use it as my only light source, but I've always been of the "more light is best" school.

This exquisite frame and fork is looking for a new home, and new parts! Pure custom, she is very lightweight steel and rides like a cushy dream. This full custom frame retails for $1,400 from Gunnar/Waterford, but she can be yours for $850 + shipping!

    Fork Height: 376mm
    Wheel Height: 642mm
    Chainstay Length: 425mm
    Wheelbase: 990mm
    Theoretical Top Tube Length: 500mm
    Actual Top Tube Length: 479.2mm
26 inch wheels (also available if interested)

She goes on Pink Bike and our local mountain biking forum tonight, she was designed for light mountain biking/gravel riding. Two small chips at the bottom of the chainstay, but touch-up paint is available from Gunnar/Waterford.
Seatpost collar and cable guides included

    The computer is sold!

I've most of the parts listed on Pink Bike, and will provide a list of parts, with links, here as soon as I've completed that process. That seems better than a long list of pictures

Catrin - what are your wheels? I may be interested if you'd like to sell them. I have a frame to be built up and I haven't yet bought wheels (and I want 26").

    Wheels :-)

    Attachment 17316

Mavic 26 inch, bladed spokes, rim brakes. The spokes are black and appear to either be very slightly corroded or else a problem with the finish from the factory. I've heard that Mavic wheels DO that sometimes, but the wheels are in great shape, no crashes and the bike has always "lived" in my bedroom/hasn't been ridden in the rain. I would also toss in the Continental Travel Contact Tires (one extra will be thrown in) if you want them at no extra charge. I DID try to remove one of the stickers when I brought this bike home but was unsuccessful.

Asking $100 + shipping, a reasonable offer will be considered :-)

http://www.mavic.com/wheels-mtb-crossride#.U-VLG_ldV8E is the manufacturer's site. Unsure these are made anymore, retail for $230. I think Mavic now only makes these for disc brakes.

    Remaining parts for sale :-)

    SRAM PG 970 11T Cassette (11-34) $25 + shipping

SRAM X9 Front and Rear Derailleurs $35 + shipping. Price is so low because one of the pulleys has a small crack, and you will see that in the picture in the ad at Pink Bike. I never noticed any problem with it and only found out about it when I took the bike apart. New pulleys are available from SRAM for roughly $20.

    SRAM X0 9-Speed Grip Shifters $40 + shipping

    SRAM X7 3X9 GXP Crankset & Headset $80 + shipping

I think that's everything, for now. I will have other things for sale once I've sold these things. If you would like all of the above I will sell everything for $160 + shipping

Thanks for the info! While they'll fit and they sound like a great deal, I really want chrome/silver for this particular bike, so I'm going to pass.

All is sold outside of the lovely frame, cassette, handle-bar and seat-post. Also still have the Light and Motion set, perfect for fall commuting as the sun raises later and sets sooner!

I DO still have a fair amount of clothing and other gear to find a home for. A couple of very expensive wool items I will want to sell, but most I will just ask shipping. I've dropped a LOT of money recently on shipping. I woefully underestimated how much certain things would cost to ship - like a wheelset from Indianapolis to California I had felt guilty for I thought I was over-charging on eBay when I decided on a set shipping cost, but I still wound up eating close to $30!!! Then there was the cost to ship grip shifters to Canada...thankfully I nailed that!

Anyway, keep your eyes here. As I've a chance I will take pictures of everything.
