Question His vs Hers Euro Chamois Butt'r

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hi ladies.

I have had some inquiries about Euro Chamois Butt'r's new Her line. It claims to be the same as the men's but with a ph balance that is better for women. I don't personally use chamois butter, so I haven't really been able to comment. Has anyone here used it? Thoughts? Opinions? Is it all just a bunch of marketing hooey?

    TIA for any input.

I eat lots of yogurt......I take good care of my V and I've never had a bacterial/yeast/ph problem because of chamois cream. If I used their chamois cream then I'd probably buy it because it's the same price as their regular cream and it has tea tree oil in it which has antibacterial and antifungal properties while sparing the friendly bacteria in the lactobacillus family.

I have tried both the regular and the HERS Chamois Butt'r but NOT the Eurostyle Butt'r.

I personally like the HERS Chamois Butt'r better because it seems a tiny bit thicker which seems to make it last longer on my body/chamois pad.

No difference in my groin region regarding the pH balance of the HERS Butt'r vs the regular one from what I can tell.

Same here; tried both but not the Euro. Can't describe what is different or why I like it better but I definitely prefer the Hers. Nothing about quality of protection, just like it better for some reason. If it cost a tad bit more, I might even pay the difference. If it were excessively more I wouldn't.

I also like the HERS better than the regular--it seems to have a little more staying power. I've never had pH problems, so I can't speak to those claims.

When I first tried it, I was worried it would be heavily scented and/or tingly, what with the lavender and tea tree oils, but (happily, for me) it is neither. There's a nearly-undetectable pleasant hint of minty lavenderness, and that's it.

I just did a side by side comparison of the two, since I bought the "Her" butter last week while we were touring. They both seem to have the same consistency to me, not very thick and easy to wash off your hands. There is a slightly more pleasant fragrance to the Her butter, because of the lavender and tea tree oils, but it wasn't strong at all. I like that this one has the tea tree oil, although I do prefer the Blue Steel, but that has quite a strong odor of tea tree and not everyone cares for that. Riding, it seemed to be pretty much the same as the regular chamois butter.

"pH balanced" sounds like marketing to me. pH is one measure; it doesn't make sense to say it is balanced.
